EVANGELICAL CHAPTER OF THE FOUNDATION FOR RELIGIOUS DIPLOMACY
Evangelicals Engaging a Multi-faith World Collaborative Inquiry Team Grant Project
(Multi-faith Matters)

The Evangelical Chapter of the Foundation for Religious Diplomacy was awarded a grant from the Louisville Institute that has funded a Collaborative Inquiry Team of pastors and scholars who have meet over the course of three years from 2014-2017 to conduct church case studies and collect stories on multi-faith engagement. We took the name Multi-faith Matters. Multi-faith Matters is a team of evangelical pastor/theologians who are learning to work with, and love our multi-faith neighbors. We are discovering the best practices, and telling the stories of evangelicals living in a multi-faith world while following the Great Commandments of love, without compromise to the evangelical faith. We were also given a supplemental grant from 2017-2019 to research the emotions behind theologies of defensiveness concerning other religions. This resulted in significant findings and insights on evangelicals and other religions, project outcomes including a documentary video and book, and a transition to a new ministry initiative. The mission and activities are found below:
