Last Saturday and Sunday I was in Sacramento, California working on a project outcome for the Multi-faith Matters grant. We are producing a short video that tells the story of River City Christian Church and their work with Muslim immigrants.

The video is a part of our overall grant strategy that involves the use of strategic storytelling. We want to create an alternative narrative for conservative evangelicals so that they can see that it is possible to be a faithful Christian who also loves their Muslim neighbor. Bill Lenzi traveled with me as the videographer. Mark Shetler, Executive Pastor at River City and one of our grant team members, was the first to be interviewed as he shared his story and that of the church in this work.

We also had an opportunity to talk to a leader within the Sacramento Area League of Associated Muslims, some of the volunteers who are a part of the church's Bridges ministry to Muslims, and to film parts of their Sunday evening events with the local immigrant community, ending with a fine Middle Easter meal.
Once the video is edited and ready for viewing we will make the link available. We hope it helps evangelical hearts and minds as it adds to our growing body of grant work.
